Through a variety of ministries we care for and train children from diapers to discipleship. Teachers and helpers are equipped to effectively teach little ones the basics of Christianity.
Nursing Mothers’ Room
Available in northeast hallway
Soundproof room with view of auditorium for parents to train children to sit quietly during worship
Attended Nursery (birth – 2 years)
Available in the northwest hallway during Sunday morning and evening worship services, staffed by adult women.
Bible Classes (18 months – grade 6)
Comprehensive Bible teaching on Sundays at 9:00 a.m. and Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. Our children’s Bible classes are one of the biggest reasons families like Northside! Students from five years old through fourth grade participate in the Safari to the Son program and rotate through workshops on Storytelling, Drama, Music & Memory, Games, Geography, and “Creation Station.” Students in 5th and 6th grade have their own special class in the Loft 252 room to prepare them for being a part of the youth group.
Children’s Ministry (3-6 years old)
Training and activities outside of regular Bible classes including Children’s Training Hour on Sunday mornings during worship, children’s activities on Sunday evening during the lesson, KAMP (Kids and Moms Play), and much more.
Children’s Camps (9 years – 18 years)
During the summer many children attend Silver Maple Camp, a church of Christ sponsored camp near Kingman, Kansas. Children learn more about God and spend time with their friends in an outdoor setting. Oklahoma Christian University also offers several camps for kids on their campus. Camp Impact (4-6th grade), Camp Cornerstone (6-9th grade) offer kids a Bible-based theme in a dorm-like setting.
